The end of August is a bittersweet time for me! It signifies the end of the lazy hazy days of summer and the beginning of a new season that I love almost as much. . . autumn! I was thrilled with the selection of new stamp sets and accessories in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Catalog! So thrilled that I had to invest in quite a number of them!
During the month of August, I introduced a "VIP project" at all of my events! What's a "VIP project"? I'm so glad you asked! It's a special project that anyone who brings a NEW stamping friend to me gets to make! Here's the VIP project we made in August!
I've used a variety of items from the Holiday Catalog to make this card!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Magnificent Maple (#131868, wood mount only); Truly Grateful (#131733, clear mount) (#131730, wood mount); Gorgeous Grunge (#130517, clear); (#130514, wood)
Paper: Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper (#132184); Early Espresso cardstock (#119686); Very Vanilla cardstock (#101650)
Tools: Deco Labels Framelits (#130102); Cajun Craze Classic Ink Pad (#126965); Crushed Curry Classic Ink Pad (#131173); Sponge Daubers (#102892)
Accessories: 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon (#132140)
How'd you get the mottled look on the leaf, Georgia? I'm so glad you asked!
Two-tone stamping effect on leaf: This effect is created by first inking the image with the Crushed Curry Ink (lightest color you're using) then using a sponge dauber to randomly daub the Cajun Craze Ink (darker color of choice) over the Crushed Curry Ink before stamping on your paper. Super easy to do, yet a great effect! Go ahead . . . give it a try!
Happy Stampin'
